BREAKING: FBI ISSUES FEDERAL SUBPOENAS TO TIM WALZ AND JACOB FREY OFFICES

Remember a few months ago, when Mayor Jacob Frey went out to eat Somali food with the local Somali leaders is a disgusting attempt to pander to the Somalians only to look like he wanted to BARF after taking the first bite?

I do.

That may go down in history as one of the worst choices ever made as the walls (Walz?) around him seem to be crumbling.

Looks like he may have forced down that Somali slop for no payoff after all as news has just broke today that the FBI has officially served the Governor’s office and the Mayor’s office with federal subpoenas:

Of course we should remind everyone that in America everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but there does seem to be a lot of smoke building in Minnesota.

Fox News confirms:

Sources told Fox News that the Department of Justice served grand jury subpoenas on Tuesday to five Minnesota government offices — including the Governor’s Office, the Attorney General’s office and the Minneapolis Mayor’s Office – as part of a federal investigation into alleged conspiracy to coerce or obstruct federal law enforcement during ongoing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Minnesota.

The sources said the FBI served the subpoenas, seeking records and communications. The Justice Department declined to comment on the matter.

Fox News learned late last week that federal prosecutors were investigating both Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for allegedly impeding law enforcement efforts.

U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told Fox News the duo’s anti-ICE rhetoric was teetering on a federal crime.

“When the governor or the mayor threaten our officers, when the mayor suggests that he’s encouraging citizens to call 911 when they see ICE officers, that is very close to a federal crime,” Blanche said.

Walz responded to the news by accusing the Trump administration of “weaponizing the justice system.”

CBS News labels it as an official FBI investigation into Walz and Frey:

The Justice Department is investigating Minnesota officials, including Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, over an alleged conspiracy to impede federal immigration agents, an extraordinary escalation in the Trump administration’s clash with Democratic leaders there, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.

One of the sources, a U.S. official, said the investigation stems from statements that Walz and Frey have made about the thousands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents deployed to the Minneapolis region in recent weeks.

Subpoenas are likely to be issued in the probe, sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.

A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment.
