Rep. James Comer: We’ve Identified the People Who Operated Joe Biden’s Autopen

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer has just made a major announcement: the committee has identified the individuals who were operating President Joe Biden’s autopen — the device used to sign documents on his behalf.

This comes after the release of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s audio recording, which painted a clear picture of Biden’s mental decline — one that many say was obvious well before the 2024 election.

According to Comer, the investigation is now focused on determining who was giving the orders, because — as he bluntly put it — it clearly wasn’t Biden himself making the decisions.

In an interview with Jason Chaffetz on Fox News, Comer said the committee plans to bring in those involved with the autopen for questioning. And if they don’t come willingly, subpoenas are on the table.

The use of autopen itself isn’t new — it’s a common practice among government staffers. But in Biden’s case, there’s growing concern over whether he was mentally fit to approve what was being signed, especially in the final stretch of his presidency.

One major issue? The last-minute pardons issued using the autopen, raising legal and constitutional questions. The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has called into question whether those pardons — and other important documents — are even valid, considering Biden may not have actually approved them with full awareness.

Last week, Comer announced that Congress will hold hearings on both the cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline and the autopen scandal.

In a statement, Comer didn’t mince words:

“The American people deserve to know who was actually calling the shots in the Biden White House — because it wasn’t Joe Biden. His mental decline was obvious to anyone paying attention. But instead of being honest, the Biden Administration, Democrats in Congress, and the legacy media lied and covered it up. They gaslit the American people while propping up a man who was unfit to lead.”

This investigation is far from over — but for now, we know one thing: they’ve found the people behind the pen.
