Surprising Candidate Emerges As Clear Democrat Frontrunner for 2028 (It’s NOT Kamala Harris Or AOC)

As Democrats grow increasingly frustrated with Kamala Harris’ infamous word salads and rambling, awkward public appearances, a surprising new frontrunner is rising for the 2028 presidential race.

And no, it’s not AOC — although she has managed to edge ahead of Harris in a few recent polls.

The name getting the most traction right now?

Pete Buttigieg.

Yes, the former Transportation Secretary, whose time in office was marked by supply chain crises and delayed responses, is apparently the top pick among Democrat voters for 2028.

Here’s what the latest polling shows:

Now, to be fair, Buttigieg hasn’t officially announced his intentions. In a recent Substack Live interview, he said he’s still in the early stages of considering a run. He plans to evaluate what he brings to the table and whether it stands out from the rest of the field.

“There are times I’ve gone through that process and decided to run, and times I haven’t,” he said. “The process can lead you to surprising places.”

Translation: He’s keeping the door wide open.

But let’s be honest — the fact that he is the top choice says a lot about the current state of the Democratic Party. It’s a clear sign they’re out of touch with what most Americans want in a leader.

Commentator “I Meme Therefore I Am” summed it up perfectly when sharing a clip of Buttigieg that pretty much speaks for itself.

If Buttigieg does run, odds are he’ll be up against someone like JD Vance — who many see as the Republican favorite heading into 2028.

And while I’d personally love to see Vance dismantle Buttigieg in a debate, maybe it’s best for Pete if he stays out of the ring altogether.
