Former congresswoman and current Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, has made bombshell allegations implicating former President Barack Obama in a plot to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency even before it began.

According to Gabbard, Obama and his national security team fabricated intelligence assessments in the aftermath of the 2016 election in order to promote the now-debunked Russia collusion narrative.

She claims these intelligence reports were deliberately altered to suggest that the Russian government had interfered in the U.S. election to help Donald Trump win — a narrative that dominated U.S. politics for years.

Gabbard points to a key meeting on December 9, 2016, just weeks after Trump’s victory, where senior Obama officials — including CIA Director John Brennan, DNI James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey — met under Obama’s direction to initiate a new “intelligence assessment.”

This ultimately led to the January 6, 2017 release of a report alleging Russian interference, which became the cornerstone for years of investigation into President Trump.

Gabbard says Obama’s fingerprints are all over this operation, calling it a coordinated political attack disguised as intelligence gathering.

Gabbard announced she is submitting over 100 classified and declassified documents to the Department of Justice. These documents allegedly show how the intelligence community’s original assessments — which initially concluded Russia did not alter votes or directly impact the election outcome — were later manipulated for political reasons.

She also claims the infamous Steele Dossier — a discredited opposition research report — was knowingly used by top officials to justify FISA warrants and other invasive actions against Trump’s transition team.

Former President Trump has publicly supported Tulsi Gabbard’s revelations, calling it “the exposure of the thugs who tried to stage a coup”. MAGA supporters have rallied behind Gabbard, praising her courage in revealing what they call the greatest political scandal in American history.

Democratic lawmakers and mainstream media outlets have dismissed Gabbard’s claims as “politically motivated.” Representative Jim Himes (D-CT) said she is “twisting events to rewrite history and discredit American institutions.”

Meanwhile, calls are growing for a special prosecutor to investigate Obama’s role and reopen past cases involving the 2016 intelligence assessments.
