BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Shooter Reportedly Confessed

Tyler Robinson, age 22, has been arrested and charged with the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Prosecutors laid out evidence including DNA linking Robinson to the rifle used in the shooting, a note he left beforehand, and text message “confessions” to his partner and roommate.

According to Utah Governor Spencer Cox, Robinson allegedly confessed or implied his involvement to a family member. That family connection led to a tip that helped law enforcement locate him; he eventually turned himself in under conditions described as “gentle” to avoid a confrontation.

Official documents also show Robinson left a note before the shooting stating: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.” Later, after the shooting, text messages to his partner included the line “I had enough of his hatred,” suggesting a motive tied to ideological or emotional grievance.

Robinson faces multiple felony charges: aggravated murder, firearm discharge causing serious injury, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in front of a child. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Not every detail is fully settled. While the confession texts and note are being treated as strong evidence by prosecutors, there are still ongoing investigations to verify all claims, reconstructing motive, planning timeline, and whether others were aware or involved.
