Democrat Senator Switches To The Republican Party!

It’s never too late to stand on the right side of history.
As the Democratic Party continues to drift away from its traditional Kennedy-era values and toward a more radical, identity-driven agenda, more and more lawmakers have chosen to walk away — and join the common-sense conservative movement.
Over the past four years, dozens of elected officials have changed their party affiliation. Recently, Florida State Representatives Hillary Cassel and Susan Valdés made headlines for ditching the Democrats and aligning with the Republican Party.
Now, another major shift has happened — this time in Kentucky.
According to Fox News, longtime Democratic State Senator Robin Webb has officially switched her party affiliation to Republican, citing the Democratic Party’s extreme shift to the left as the reason.
Here’s what she had to say:
“First and foremost, I’m a mother, a rancher, and a lawyer with deep personal and professional roots in Kentucky’s coal country. As the Democratic Party continues its lurch to the left and its hyperfocus on policies that hurt workforce and economic development in my region, I no longer feel it represents my values.
It has become untenable and counterproductive to the best interests of my constituents for me to remain a Democrat.”
Webb was first elected to the Kentucky State House in 1998, defeating Republican Ramona Gee. She has long been considered one of the more conservative Democrats in the legislature, often siding with Republicans on key issues — including this year’s legislation to end DEI programs in Kentucky’s public universities.
With Webb’s defection, the Democrats’ presence in the Kentucky State Senate dwindles even further: they now hold just six seats, while Republicans expand their dominance to 32.
The Kentucky Lantern also noted that Webb’s bipartisan track record has included work on agriculture and rural issues. One of her bills — focused on animal health licensing — recently passed with support from both parties and was signed into law by Democrat Governor Andy Beshear.
Senate President Robert Stivers welcomed Webb to the Republican caucus, saying her switch marks a “historic milestone” for the party.
Another sign that the tide is turning — and people are waking up.
