The nonprofit watchdog Oversight Project first raised alarms months ago, pointing out that the exact same Biden signature showed up on all sorts of documents, many signed while Biden was on vacation. This led to real questions about whether he was truly making the decisions—or if others were acting in his name.

According to Ed Martin, the scope of the investigation now includes looking at whether Biden was mentally competent at the time these decisions were made, and whether the people using the autopen were abusing that power for personal or political gain.

Even Anita Dunn, one of the people reportedly involved, was allegedly kept in the dark about Hunter’s pardon—suggesting internal conflicts and a possible power struggle inside the White House over who really controlled the presidency in its final days.

President Trump has weighed in, calling the situation “Treason at the Highest Level” and accusing those around Biden of using his declining mental state to take control and push policies he never supported.
