President Trump On Hillary Clinton: “I May Have To Start Liking Her Again”

President Donald Trump recently responded to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s unexpected suggestion that he should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize if he successfully brokers a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. During an interview aboard Air Force One en route to a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Trump remarked, “Well, that was very nice. I may have to start liking her again.”

Clinton’s comments came during an appearance on the “Raging Moderates” podcast, where she stated that if Trump could end the war in Ukraine without forcing Ukraine to cede any territory to Russia, she would nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize. She emphasized that such a peace deal should include a ceasefire, no exchange of territory, and a full Russian withdrawal from the seized areas.

Trump, who has previously received nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize for his involvement in various international peace efforts, expressed confidence in reaching a peace deal, estimating only a 25% chance of failure.

The summit in Alaska, aimed at discussing a potential end to the Russia-Ukraine war, did not result in a ceasefire agreement. However, Trump characterized the nearly three-hour meeting as a success, highlighting potential economic cooperation and emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue.

Clinton’s endorsement of Trump’s potential Nobel Peace Prize nomination marks a rare moment of bipartisan recognition amid ongoing international tensions. Her statement underscores the global significance of achieving peace in the region and acknowledges the magnitude of such a diplomatic accomplishment, regardless of political differences.
