President Trump REVOKES Kamala Harris’ Secret Service Detail

This will save taxpayers money.

President Trump has revoked the Secret Service detail for former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Harris Secret Service protection was supposed to end in July due to Vice President’s only receiving Secret Service protection for six months after leaving office.

However, due to an unknown previous move by a Biden official, her Secret Service protection was extended for an additional year.

CNN reported more details on the Trump administration’s decision to end the Secret Service protection:

President Donald Trump revoked Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection on Thursday, according to a copy of a letter reviewed by CNN.

Former presidents receive Secret Service protection for life. Harris, as a former vice president, received six months of protection after leaving office, according to federal law. That period ended on July 21. However, her protection had been extended for an additional year via a directive – not made public until now – signed by then-President Joe Biden shortly before leaving office, according to multiple people familiar with the undisclosed arrangement.

That is the order Trump canceled in his letter, titled “Memorandum for the Secretary of Homeland Security” and dated Thursday.

“You are hereby authorized to discontinue any security-related procedures previously authorized by Executive Memorandum, beyond those required by law, for the following individual, effective September 1, 2025: Former Vice President Kamala D. Harris,” the letter reads in full.

The White House and Secret Service did not immediately respond to CNN’s requests for comment.

Trump’s ending of Harris’ protection comes as she soon embarks on a multi-city, high-profile book tour around the release of “107 Days,” her new memoir on her short presidential campaign, set to be released September 23. That will put her more in the public spotlight than she has been since leaving office, during which time she’s attended only a few public events.

The move comes as Harris is set to kick off a tour for her upcoming book “107 Days” in late September.

The tour is scheduled to visit major American cities in its opening days, including New York City, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

The Secret Service says on its website that after former presidents leave office, they get security details for themselves and their spouses for life, “unless they decline protection.”

Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff had his Secret Service protection removed in July, according to The Wall Street Journal.
