Sayegh, a 32-year-old Toms River police officer, who was off duty at the time of the incident. Around 11:30 p.m., Sayegh reportedly smashed the front glass door of a home in Berkeley Township and forced her way inside. Once inside, she is said to have physically attacked and threatened the two residents. Authorities also allege that prior to the break-in, she damaged one of the victim’s vehicles parked outside.
