Former ICE Director and current Border Czar Tom Homan recently made headlines with strong remarks suggesting that legal action may soon be taken against leaders of sanctuary cities—jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

During an interview with Jordan Conradson of The Gateway Pundit, Homan was asked about President Trump’s new executive order aimed at defunding sanctuary cities. Conradson pressed Homan on why leaders of these cities aren’t simply being arrested for protecting illegal immigrants from deportation.

Homan’s response was brief but telling: “Wait until you see what’s coming.”

When asked specifically about Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, who recently directed state agencies not to comply with ICE efforts, Homan doubled down. “Wait until you see what’s coming. I meant what I said,” he affirmed.

Homan further explained that while state and local leaders may oppose federal immigration policies or express political support for sanctuary policies, there’s a legal boundary they cannot cross. “If you cross that line of impediment or knowingly harbor and conceal illegal aliens, that is a felony, and we will treat it as such,” he warned.

Though Homan did not provide concrete details, his remarks have sparked speculation that the federal government could soon take serious action against officials who obstruct immigration enforcement.

Many are interpreting his comments as a strong signal that arrests or indictments could be on the horizon.
