AOC DARES Border Czar Tom Homan to Arrest Her: “Come For Me. Do I Look Like I Care?”

There’s something up with this.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez boldly challenged former ICE Director Tom Homan during a recent town hall, daring him to take legal action against her. Responding to his criticism over her immigrant rights webinar, she declared, “Come for me. Do I look like I care?”

At a town hall event in Queens on Friday, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) responded defiantly to criticism from former acting ICE Director Tom Homan, who previously suggested that her actions advising undocumented immigrants on their rights could be illegal. The congresswoman, known for her outspoken views on immigration policy, directly addressed Homan’s comments in front of a supportive crowd.

“Tom Homan said he was going to refer me to the DOJ because I’m using my free speech rights to advise people of their constitutional protections,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “To that I say: Come for me. Do I look like I care?” Her remarks were met with loud applause and cheers from those in attendance.

The controversy stems from a “Know Your Rights” webinar that Ocasio-Cortez’s office hosted in February. The event provided information to immigrants, including what to do if approached by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Attendees were encouraged to request a warrant, document any encounters, and understand the differences between types of warrants that ICE might use.

Following the webinar, Homan criticized the event during a Fox News interview, claiming it could be interfering with law enforcement efforts. He said he was consulting the Department of Justice to determine whether Ocasio-Cortez had crossed any legal lines.

Ocasio-Cortez dismissed the accusations, standing firm in her belief that what she did was both legal and within her rights. She emphasized that there is nothing illegal about informing people of their constitutional protections and added that if authorities want to make such actions illegal, they would have to “come take me.”

The situation highlights ongoing tensions between progressive lawmakers like Ocasio-Cortez and those enforcing stricter immigration policies, particularly under the Trump administration’s approach to deportations.
